These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the rentgolarnaca.com website and the car rental comparison and booking services provided through RentGo Larnaca.
By using our website, submitting a booking request or completing a reservation through RentGo Larnaca, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. Please review them carefully before booking.
Important: RentGo Larnaca is an independent intermediary platform. We connect travellers with licensed local car rental companies operating in Larnaca and other parts of Cyprus. RentGo Larnaca does not normally own, operate or directly supply the rental vehicles displayed on the website.
The vehicle rental agreement is concluded directly between the main driver and the selected local car rental provider. The provider’s individual rental conditions also apply and should be reviewed before the booking is confirmed.
1. About RentGo Larnaca
- RentGo Larnaca operates as an independent car rental intermediary and booking platform.
- We help travellers compare rental offers and submit reservations with local car rental companies in Cyprus.
- Selected offers may include no-deposit conditions, no traditional credit card requirement, debit-card payment or cash payment on arrival.
- Availability, prices and rental conditions are determined by the selected rental provider and may differ between vehicles.
- Unless explicitly stated otherwise, RentGo Larnaca is not the owner, lessor or operator of the rental vehicle.
2. Role of the Local Rental Provider
- The selected local rental company is responsible for supplying the vehicle and performing the rental agreement.
- The rental provider determines the final conditions concerning driver eligibility, payment, security deposit, insurance, excess, fuel, mileage, pickup and return.
- The rental agreement is signed directly between the renter and the local rental provider, usually when the vehicle is collected.
- If the provider’s rental agreement contains conditions specific to the selected vehicle, those conditions apply to the vehicle rental itself.
- You should read the provider’s rental conditions before confirming the reservation and again before signing the rental agreement.
3. Booking Process
- Bookings may be submitted through the RentGo Larnaca website or through another communication method made available by us.
- Submitting a booking request does not guarantee that the selected vehicle is available.
- A reservation becomes confirmed only after you receive a booking confirmation or voucher.
- The vehicle shown on the website may be provided as the listed model or a similar vehicle from the same category.
- Vehicle availability may change before confirmation, particularly during busy travel periods.
- If the selected vehicle is unavailable, you may be offered a similar vehicle, a different category or an alternative rental provider.
- You are responsible for checking that all information shown in the booking confirmation is correct.
- Any error concerning the driver’s name, travel dates, pickup location, flight information or contact details should be reported as soon as possible.
4. Prices and Payment
- The price displayed during booking is based on the dates, times, pickup location, vehicle category and options selected by the customer.
- The booking confirmation should specify the amount payable, the accepted payment method and whether payment is due online or at vehicle pickup.
- Depending on the offer, payment may be accepted by credit card, debit card, cash or another method approved by the rental provider.
- No-credit-card availability applies only to offers that specifically allow an alternative payment method.
- The main driver may be required to present a payment card in their own name, even when a debit card is accepted.
- Additional charges may apply for optional extras, additional drivers, child seats, delivery, out-of-hours service, one-way rentals, young drivers or additional insurance.
- Currency conversion fees, foreign transaction fees and charges imposed by a customer’s bank or card provider are not controlled by RentGo Larnaca.
- Local taxes and mandatory charges are included only where stated in the selected offer or booking confirmation.
5. No-Deposit Offers
- Selected vehicles may be offered without a large security deposit or card hold.
- No-deposit conditions apply only when clearly stated for the selected offer.
- Some offers described as no deposit may still require a small authorisation, fuel deposit or another form of security.
- No deposit does not mean that the renter has no financial responsibility.
- The renter may still be charged for missing fuel, fines, late return, lost keys, excessive cleaning, prohibited use, negligence or damage excluded from the insurance.
- No deposit is not necessarily the same as zero excess or full insurance. Deposit and insurance conditions must be reviewed separately.
6. Driver Requirements
- The main driver must meet the minimum age and driving-experience requirements of the selected rental provider.
- Driver requirements may differ depending on the vehicle category and local rental company.
- The main driver must present a valid original driving licence at pickup.
- A passport or national identity card may also be required.
- Drivers with licences issued outside the EU or the United Kingdom may need an International Driving Permit or official translation, depending on the licence and provider’s conditions.
- Photographs, scans or digital copies of documents may not be accepted instead of the originals.
- Additional drivers must be declared and approved by the rental provider before driving the vehicle.
- A young-driver, senior-driver or additional-driver charge may apply.
- The rental provider may refuse to release the vehicle if the driver does not meet the stated requirements or cannot provide the required documents.
7. Vehicle Pickup
- Pickup may be available at Larnaca International Airport, a rental office, a shuttle location, a hotel or another agreed address.
- The exact meeting point and pickup instructions are provided in the booking confirmation or communicated by the rental provider.
- Customers arriving by air should provide a correct flight number and expected arrival time.
- The renter should arrive at the agreed location at the confirmed time and contact the provider if delayed.
- Failure to arrive within the provider’s waiting period may be treated as a no-show.
- Out-of-hours pickup may require advance approval and may involve an additional fee.
- Before accepting the vehicle, the renter should inspect it and ensure that existing damage is recorded in the rental agreement or condition report.
8. Vehicle Return
- The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date, at the agreed time and to the agreed location.
- Any requested change to the return time or location must be approved by the rental provider in advance.
- Late return may result in an additional rental day, late-return charge or other fee under the provider’s conditions.
- The vehicle must be returned with the documents, keys, equipment and accessories supplied at pickup.
- The renter must return the vehicle in the same general condition in which it was received, subject to reasonable wear and tear.
- Excessive dirt, stains, smoke, unpleasant odours or damage to the interior may result in additional cleaning or repair charges.
- The renter should allow enough time for inspection and vehicle return, particularly when travelling to the airport.
9. Insurance and Financial Responsibility
- The vehicle includes the insurance specified in the selected offer and rental agreement.
- The type and level of coverage may differ between rental providers and vehicle categories.
- Basic coverage may include an excess for which the renter remains financially responsible.
- Additional protection may be available to reduce the applicable excess, subject to policy conditions and exclusions.
- The renter should check whether tyres, wheels, windscreens, mirrors, roof, underbody, interior, keys and roadside assistance are included or excluded.
- No-deposit conditions do not automatically remove the insurance excess.
- The renter remains responsible for charges or damage not covered by the selected insurance.
- Insurance may become invalid if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorised driver or used in breach of the rental agreement.
10. Insurance Exclusions
Coverage may be limited or invalidated in circumstances including, but not limited to:
- driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or another impairing substance;
- dangerous, reckless or negligent driving;
- driving by a person not authorised under the rental agreement;
- failing to report an accident or damage according to the required procedure;
- using the vehicle for racing, speed testing or illegal activity;
- driving on prohibited, unsuitable or unpaved roads;
- using the wrong type of fuel;
- losing the keys or leaving the vehicle unlocked;
- damaging the interior through misuse;
- continuing to drive after a warning light, mechanical problem or accident;
- taking the vehicle into an area not permitted by the rental agreement.
11. Vehicle Use
- The vehicle must be used responsibly and in accordance with Cyprus traffic laws.
- Only drivers listed and authorised in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.
- The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, driver training, commercial passenger transport, delivery services or illegal activity unless expressly authorised.
- The number of passengers must not exceed the vehicle’s legal seating capacity.
- The renter must secure the vehicle, close the windows and remove the keys whenever it is unattended.
- Smoking or transporting animals may be restricted or require advance approval.
- The vehicle must not be overloaded or used in a way that could cause damage.
- The renter is responsible for checking and complying with local parking and traffic restrictions.
12. Driving Area and Northern Cyprus
- The vehicle may only be used within the geographical area permitted by the local rental provider.
- Crossing the Green Line or driving into Northern Cyprus may be prohibited or excluded from the provider’s standard insurance.
- The renter must obtain written permission from the rental provider before taking the vehicle into any restricted area.
- Any insurance purchased separately at a crossing point may not cover damage to the rental vehicle.
- Unauthorised travel outside the permitted area may invalidate insurance and leave the renter responsible for the full cost of damage, recovery or loss.
13. Fuel Policy
- The applicable fuel policy is stated in the selected offer or rental agreement.
- Common policies include full-to-full and same-to-same.
- The renter should check and record the fuel level when collecting the vehicle.
- If the car is returned with less fuel than required, the rental provider may charge for missing fuel and an additional refuelling service fee.
- No refund is normally provided for additional fuel left in the vehicle unless the provider’s conditions state otherwise.
- The renter is responsible for using the correct fuel type.
14. Mileage
- The rental may include unlimited mileage or a specified mileage allowance.
- The applicable mileage policy is shown in the selected offer or rental agreement.
- Exceeding the included allowance may result in an additional per-kilometre charge.
- The renter must not interfere with the odometer or other vehicle monitoring equipment.
15. Optional Extras
- Optional extras may include child seats, additional drivers, upgraded insurance, hotel delivery or out-of-hours service.
- Extras are subject to availability and should be requested in advance.
- A request for an extra does not guarantee availability until it is confirmed.
- The customer is responsible for checking that a child seat or other requested item is suitable before use.
- Optional extras may be supplied and charged directly by the local rental provider.
16. Cancellations
- The cancellation policy applicable to the reservation is shown during booking or in the confirmation.
- Some offers may include free cancellation until a stated deadline.
- Other offers may be partially or fully non-refundable.
- Cancellation conditions differ between rental providers and should be checked before booking.
- A cancellation is valid only after it has been submitted through the available cancellation method and acknowledged.
- Late cancellation fees depend on the conditions of the selected offer.
- Charges imposed by payment providers or banks may not be refundable.
17. Booking Changes
- Requests to change the dates, times, driver, vehicle category, pickup location, return location or optional extras are subject to availability.
- A booking change may result in a different rental price.
- The original price is not guaranteed after a change.
- A major change may require cancellation of the original booking and creation of a new reservation.
- No change is confirmed until written confirmation is provided.
18. No-Shows
A booking may be treated as a no-show if:
- the renter does not arrive at the agreed time and location;
- the renter does not contact the provider about a significant delay;
- the main driver cannot provide the required documents;
- the driver does not meet the age or licence requirements;
- the required payment method is not available;
- the renter refuses to sign the provider’s rental agreement;
- the renter is reasonably considered unfit to drive.
No-show bookings may be non-refundable, subject to the cancellation and no-show conditions of the selected offer.
19. Accidents, Damage and Theft
- In the event of an accident, damage, breakdown, theft or attempted theft, the renter must contact the rental provider immediately.
- The renter must follow the provider’s instructions and contact the police where required.
- The renter should not admit liability, agree to payment or arrange repairs without the provider’s permission.
- All relevant details, photographs, police reports and third-party information should be collected where safely possible.
- Failure to follow the required reporting procedure may affect insurance coverage.
- The renter must not abandon the vehicle unless instructed to do so by the provider or emergency services.
20. Breakdowns and Roadside Assistance
- Roadside assistance is provided according to the selected rental offer and provider’s conditions.
- In case of a mechanical problem, the renter must stop safely and contact the provider.
- The renter must not arrange repairs or replacement parts without authorisation.
- Assistance required because of driver error, such as lost keys, incorrect fuel, a flat battery caused by misuse or keys locked inside the vehicle, may involve an additional charge.
- The rental provider determines whether a replacement vehicle can be supplied.
21. Traffic Fines and Administrative Charges
- The renter is responsible for traffic fines, parking penalties, tolls and other charges incurred during the rental period.
- The rental provider may charge an administrative fee for processing a fine or responding to a request from the authorities.
- Details of the renter may be provided to the relevant authority where legally required.
- A fine received after the rental has ended may still be charged or transferred to the renter.
22. Complaints
- Problems relating to the condition, supply or operation of the vehicle should be reported to the rental provider immediately.
- Giving the provider an opportunity to address the issue during the rental may be necessary before compensation can be considered.
- Complaints concerning the booking service may be submitted to RentGo Larnaca using the contact details published on the website.
- A complaint should include the booking reference, rental dates, provider name and supporting documents or photographs.
- RentGo Larnaca may forward relevant information to the local rental provider to assist with resolving the complaint.
23. Responsibility of RentGo Larnaca
- RentGo Larnaca is responsible for providing the intermediary and booking services described on the website with reasonable care.
- We do not control the daily operations, fleet management or conduct of independent local rental providers.
- We are not the party supplying the vehicle unless this is expressly stated in the booking confirmation.
- We are not responsible for a renter’s failure to meet the provider’s documented requirements.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
24. Events Outside Our Control
Neither RentGo Larnaca nor the rental provider will be responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances reasonably outside the relevant party’s control, subject to applicable law. Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, civil disturbances, road closures, government restrictions, airport disruption or major technical failures.
Where possible, reasonable steps will be taken to assist the customer or provide an alternative arrangement, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
